The ratings are split into 6 categories - punctuality, documentation, safety, effectiveness, care and reliability. All ratings are out of a maximum of 5.

Reliability is worked out based on the worker’s interaction with Florence. It is the number of shifts they have worked against the number they have cancelled. Each cancellation will bring down the workers rating which starts at 5. The more shifts worked, this will then increase the rating back up.

All other categories are evaluated by yourselves as the client. When you approve a timesheet, you are asked to rate the individual on these factors. It is anonymous and your feedback then comes together and creates an average which is what you see on the person’s profile.

The nurse/carer can see these averaged ratings on their profile so they can see where they are doing well and what they might need to improve.

A short description of what each factor means can be seen below:

  • Punctuality - Arriving in sufficient time for an effective handover

  • Documentation - Documenting actions clearly and appropriately

  • Safety - Prioritising patient safety throughout a shift

  • Effectiveness - Performing duties effectively and to the best of abilities

  • Care - Treating patients with compassion, dignity and respect

  • Reliability - Based on interaction with Florence
