Completing Your 'Essential Information' Profile

In your Florence platform you can update your location ‘Settings’ by selecting this from the three dot drop down at the top right hand corner.

Providing key details about your care location is a crucial step in setting up your account. This 'Essential Information' helps us match you with the right professionals and gives them a clear understanding of the work environment before they apply for a shift, leading to better, safer care.

This guide explains each section of the form.

Service User Numbers

This section helps us understand the size and current capacity of your location.

  • Maximum number of service users: This is the total number of people your location is equipped to care for at any one time, often described as your total number of registered beds.

  • Current number of service users: This is your current census or occupancy. We use this to show professionals an up-to-date occupancy rate, giving them an idea of how busy the location is.

Standard Staffing Levels

Here, you can provide the typical number of nurses and carers you have rostered for a standard shift.

  • Carers currently rostered (Day/Night): Enter the usual number of carers on a typical day shift and night shift.

  • Nurses currently rostered (Day/Night): Enter the usual number of nurses on a typical day shift and night shift.

Why we ask: This information is incredibly helpful for professionals. It allows them to understand the team environment and the level of support they can expect to have while on shift.

Specific Nursing Requirements (Optional)

This section allows you to highlight any advanced or specific clinical skills that are frequently required at your location due to your residents' needs.

You can select from common requirements like:

  • Male or Female Catheters

  • PEGs (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)

  • Syringe Drivers

  • Tracheostomy

Why we ask: Tagging these requirements helps us better match you with professionals who have verified experience in these specific areas. It also ensures that professionals applying for your shifts are fully aware of the clinical needs at your location.

Keeping Your Information Up-to-Date

We recommend reviewing this 'Essential Information' section periodically, especially if your occupancy levels or the clinical needs of your residents change significantly. Keeping this data current ensures the best possible matchmaking for your shifts.
