To enhance on-site security and give you complete confidence in who is arriving for a shift, every Florence professional has a live Digital ID Badge within their mobile app.
We recommend making this a standard part of your agency staff sign-in procedure. This guide explains how to check the badge and what to look for.
What is the Digital ID Badge?
The Digital ID Badge is a real-time, in-app identity card that helps you verify that the person arriving for a shift is the same person you booked through the Florence platform.
To ensure its authenticity, the badge includes several security features:
Approved Photo: It displays the professional's official, verified profile photograph.
Key Information: It shows their full name and professional role (e.g., Registered Nurse, Care Assistant).
Live Element: For added security, the badge includes a dynamic element, such as a live clock, to prove it's a real-time screen and not a screenshot.
How to Check a Professional's Digital ID Badge
Follow these simple steps when a professional arrives to start their shift:
Greet the professional and ask them to open their Florence app on their phone.
Request that they navigate to the ‘ID’ section of their app to show you their Digital ID Badge.
Verify the Details: Check that the name and photo on the badge match the person in front of you and the details on your shift booking.
Check for the Live Element: Look for the moving clock on the screen to confirm it is not a static image.
What to Do If There Is an Issue
The safety of your residents and staff is the highest priority.
If the photo or name on the badge does not match the person, or if they are unable or unwilling to show you their live Digital ID Badge, do not allow them to begin the shift.
Please contact the Florence Customer Support team via live chat or phone immediately to report the issue. Our team is available 24/7 to provide support.
