From April 2022, right-to-work checks in the UK have changed. This means we can't use Biometric Residence Permits (BRP), Biometric Residence Cards (BRC) or Frontier Worker Permits (FWP) alone as proof of your right to work in the UK.

Getting a share code to prove your right to work
If you're on a Student visa (formerly a T4 visa), it's simple to use the Home Office online service to get a share code that proves your right to work in the UK.

You can request this through the GOV.UK website here (link: https://www.gov.uk/prove-right-to-work/get-a-share-code-online). We'll need your share code as part of your registration, and we'll usually ask for this during your online interview on Willo.

If your share code is in a different name than your current legal name, find out what to do here (https://help.florence.co.uk/en/articles/6158675-i-go-by-a-different-name-than-what-is-on-my-right-to-work-document).

Once your right to work has been confirmed, we'll update your registration automatically.

Other documents needed
Along with your share code, we'll need an official letter from your school, which should show:
Your details.
• Your course title.
• The start and end date of your studies.

This could be an enrolment letter, confirmation of acceptance (CAS) letter or offer letter.

We'll also need a letter showing your personalised term and holiday dates. Most students are restricted to a maximum of 20 working hours per week during term time. This means you'll only be able to pick up one shift per week during term time. However, we can lift the restriction on your working hours outside of term time.

Unfortunately, we can't accept Student visas with a restriction of 10 working hours per week.

After your studies finish
After you complete your course, you may be able to work full-time until your Student visa expires. We'll need an official letter from your university stating your course end date (or a transcript) to prove you’ve finished studying.

Important: You won't be able to work full-time until you've passed the official course end date, even if you finish your exams earlier.
