To work with Florence, you'll need at least two references who can confirm your professional care experience.

​If you're applying to work as a care assistant, you need:
• Six months of UK care experience.
• One or more references from a care background, covering at least six months in the last two years.

​If you're applying to work as a nurse, you need:
• Six months of experience for an NHS role, or one year of experience for a private social care role.
• Two or more references from a nursing background covering at least 12 months.
​
​For care assistants, we accept references from:
​• A care home manager or another equivalent-level healthcare employer.
• A band-5 nurse or higher.
• A representative from an agency you’ve previously worked for in a healthcare role.

We can accept one reference from a non-healthcare employer if you're not able to get a second clinical reference. However, you'll still need proof of at least six months of care experience to work with us.

​For nurses, we accept references from:
​• A care home manager or another equivalent-level healthcare employer.
• A band-6 nurse or higher.
• A representative from an agency you’ve previously worked for in a nursing role.

For nurses, we can only accept one reference from an agency.
​
​
​Important: For both nurses and care assistants, one of your references must be from your most recent UK employer. Your references must also be verified through your work history.

Unfortunately, if your references don't confirm your care experience, we won't be able to continue with your application.
