Does Florence offer any mental health support?

Yes, our care professionals have access to various services:

Free person-to-person mental health support services

We support the charity Nurse Lifeline a peer led listening service open to all health and care professionals. They offer free support services:

  • Peer-led support phoneline: 'run by nurses and midwives for nurses and midwives.' Call 0808 801 0455 any weekday evening from 7pm – 10pm if you’d like someone to listen and need a safe place to offload. This service is confidential and anonymous.

  • Email support: If you prefer to write, you can email them at [email protected] and one of the team will get back to you as soon as possible.

  • Mental health resource library – via social media, their blog and online – providing well-being tips and signposts to other mental health support communities. Learn more at Resources | Nurse lifeline and follow Nurse Lifeline on social media @Nurselifelineuk.

Another option is a free service funded by the Department of Health and Pensions.

Online courses

We also offer a free Health and well-being course to all Florence health and care professionals: https://academy.florence.co.uk/public/courses/self-care-and-personal-wellbeing
