Educator Roles on Florence

When adding nursery staff to the platform, you will select from three roles, please make sure you select all roles you would like to be added at this stage:

  1. Unqualified Educator

  2. Qualified Educator Level 2

  3. Qualified Educator Level 3

For all qualified roles, you must upload the primary qualification certificate for review.

English and Maths Requirements

In line with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements, certain Level 2 and Level 3 educators must provide additional evidence of English and Maths competency.

When to upload:

  • If required: Upload the specific English/Maths certificate (Level 2/GCSE equivalent or above).

  • If not required: Re-upload the original primary qualification certificate in these sections.

Document Criteria: To be verified, the certificate must clearly show:

  • Candidate’s Full Name

  • Subject: Specifically English or Maths.

  • Awarding Body: e.g., AQA

  • Date: A confirmed award date or an approximate school year.

  • Result: Confirmation that the modules/exams were passed.

Guidelines for Successful Verification

We use the Early Years Qualification List (EYQL) to validate documents. To avoid delays, ensure your uploads meet the following standards:

What We Need to See:

  • Clarity: The image must be high-resolution and legible.

  • Key Details: The Course Title, Candidate Name, Award Date, and Awarding Body must all be visible.

Common Reasons for Rejection:

  • Missing Evidence: A "Qualified" status cannot be approved if the required English/Maths supporting documents are missing.

  • Overseas Qualifications: These cannot be accepted without official UK equivalency documentation (e.g. ENIC).

  • Poor Image Quality: Blurry, cut-off, or dark photos that obscure the text.
