Using and Managing Shift Presets

Shift Presets are templates for your most common shifts. Using them ensures that details are consistent and allows you to post shifts in seconds, saving you valuable time. 🕒


How to Create a New Shift Preset

You can create a template for any recurring shift pattern (e.g., "Weekday Nurse - Day Shift" or "Weekend Carer - Night Shift").

  1. From your dashboard, click the ‘+ Post Shifts’ button in the top-right corner.

  2. Select the location & unit you want to add the preset for

  3. Select the worker Type you want to add this for.

  4. On the shift posting screen, select ‘Create New Preset’.

  5. Fill out all the required shift details:

    • Preset Name: Give it a clear, descriptive name (e.g., "Weekday Day Nurse").

    • Gender (if applicable, find out more about constraints)

    • Driver Required: Indicate if the professional needs to be a driver. (If applicable, this should only be done if the worker will be driving as part of their shift find out more about constraints)

    • If there is any essential or desirable skills required as part of the preset.

    • Worker Type: Choose the role you need.

    • Start & End Time: Set the shift hours.

    • Break Length: Specify the duration of the unpaid break.

    • Driver Required: Indicate if the professional needs to be a driver.

  6. Click ‘Create Preset’. Your new preset will now be available to use anytime you post a shift.


How to Edit an Existing Shift Preset

If your regular shift patterns change, you can easily update your saved presets.

  1. Click the ‘+ Post Shifts’ button.

  2. Find the existing preset you wish to change.

  3. Click the pencil icon (✏️) at the top of that preset's box.

  4. You can now edit the details of the preset. Click 'Save' to confirm the changes.

Important Note: Editing a preset will only apply to future shifts you post using that preset. It will not automatically change any shifts that have already been posted.
