What training certificates do I need to have to work with Florence?

Before you begin working with Florence, we need to make sure that you have up-to-date training that meets our compliance requirements.

The mandatory training modules you'll need to complete are different depending on your role.

If you're applying to work with Florence as a care assistant, we'll need to see certificates for:
• Manual Handling
• Infection Control
• First Aid
• Fire Safety
• Florence Code of Conduct: Care Support Workers
• Food Hygiene
• Health & Safety
• Life Support
• Equality & Diversity
• Information Governance
• Safeguarding Adults Level 1 (adult support and protection)
• Safeguarding Children
• Mental Capacity Act
• Understanding Learning Disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (for workers in England only)

If you're applying to work with Florence as a nurse, we'll need to see certificates for:
• Manual Handling
• Infection Control
• First Aid
• Fire Safety
• Medication Administration Theory
• Medication Competency Assessment
• Health & Safety
• Life Support
• Equality & Diversity
• Information Governance
• Safeguarding Adults Level 1 (adult support and protection)
• Mental Capacity Act
• Safeguarding Children
• Understanding Learning Disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (for workers in England only)

If you don't already have these certificates from a different provider, you can complete all mandatory modules for free on Florence Academy (https://www.florence.co.uk/care-professionals/academy). You can also complete essential refresher training.

All mandatory modules will automatically appear on our Florence account if you've used the same email address for both accounts.
