Mandatory Training for NI:
To work shifts in Northern Ireland, you'll need to complete specific mandatory training courses. We've divided these into practical and theory courses.
You can complete all theory courses for free on Florence Academy. To register, simply use the same email address you use for your Florence profile and your training certificates will automatically transfer to your Florence Profile.

Medication Administration Theory (nurses only)
Medication Competency Assessment (nurses only)
Deprivation of Liberty Level 3 (nurses only)

Manual Handling
Basic Life Support
Safeguarding Adults Level 2

We're happy to accept training certificates from the NHS, previous jobs or third parties if:
They’re aligned with the Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF) or CPD-accredited.
Your certificate covers one or more of our mandatory training modules.
Your certificate is in date.
Your name is on the certificate.
To add any additional documents or training completed externally, please log into your profile and select “My documents”, you will then have the option to upload a new document.
Our compliance team and your candidate manager are automatically notified when you upload any new documents. They will then review and update your profile accordingly.
