A DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) is an enhanced Police Check required for you to work in the care sector in England and Wales.

We require an enhanced DBS that covers the following sections;

Point 1: Police Records of Convictions, Cautions, Reprimands and Warnings

Point 4: DBS Adults Barred List Information

Point 5: Other relevant information disclosed at the Chief Police Officer(s) discretion.

If any of these points are missing from the submitted DBS, we will be unable to accept this as your DBS either on the Update service or as a stand in DBS until we receive your Florence DBS.

Reasons your DBS may be rejected include but are not limited to;

Your DBS is in your previous name

Your DBS has a conviction (this will be approved after a risk assessment has been completed. If you have a DBS with a conviction you can find out the next steps here.)

Your DBS is missing the above-mentioned points.

Your DBS is over one year old.
