Overview
The Starters, Leavers & Changes page gives you a single place to see everyone who has recently joined, left, or had their employee details changed - so payroll teams no longer have to track these manually across separate flows. It's designed to make your regular payroll handover quicker and more reliable.
You'll find it under My Staff in the main navigation. Access is limited to admins with bank-details permissions.
How It Works
The page keeps itself up to date automatically from your staff records — you don't need to add anything manually. Whenever someone is set up with their first contract, has a contract terminated, or has their details edited, an entry appears in the relevant tab.
Starters — a worker's first contract with your organisation. If an existing worker gets a rehire or an additional contract, that appears as a change rather than a new starter.
Leavers — workers whose contract has been terminated, either recently (within the last 90 days) or with an upcoming last working day.
Changes — updates to an existing worker's employee details (for example a name, role, or pay-related field).
The Three Tabs
Each tab has a progress tile at the top showing how many entries you've actioned (for example "3 of 12 actioned"), so you can see at a glance what's left to review.
Starters shows start date, role, tier, payroll location/cycle, and who created the record.
Leavers shows the last working day, leaving reason, and who terminated the contract.
Changes shows the latest change for each worker, with a line for each individual change — for example "First name: Merai → Olivia (Wed 15 Jul 2026 – Tom Reilly)" — so you can see exactly what changed, when, and who made it.
Filtering & Searching
To narrow down what you're looking at, you can filter by:
Date range
Payroll location
Payroll group
Role
Status (done / not done)
You can also search by name or reference to jump straight to a specific worker.
Marking Entries as Done
As you work through the list, you can tick entries off so your team knows what's already been handled:
Select one or more rows using the checkboxes.
Use the action bar to Mark as done (or Mark as not done to reverse it).
A Done badge appears on the entry showing who actioned it and when.
Keeping the Page Up to Date
The page refreshes automatically, and the last synced time is shown at the top right so you know how current the data is. If you want to pull in the very latest changes immediately, click the Sync now button.
