Notifications in Florence Go

Florence Go keeps workers informed about their schedule, timesheets, and leave through push notifications. This article explains what triggers each type of notification and how to manage your notification settings.

Push Notifications (In-App)

Push notifications are sent directly to your phone when certain events happen. You will receive a push notification when:

  • Your rota is published — a new week of shifts is available to view

  • A shift is cancelled or changed by your manager

  • You have a timesheet to submit after a completed shift

  • Your leave request is approved, rejected, or revoked

SMS Notifications

In addition to push notifications, Florence may also send SMS messages to the mobile number on your profile. SMS notifications are typically used for:

  • Initial account setup invitation

  • Shift reminders

  • Leave decision updates (if push notifications are not enabled)

Enabling Push Notifications

If you are not receiving push notifications, check that notifications are enabled for Florence Go on your device:

iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications

  2. Find Florence Go in the list

  3. Make sure Allow Notifications is turned on

Android:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps

  2. Find and tap Florence Go

  3. Tap Notifications and make sure they are enabled

FAQs

I'm not getting any notifications — what should I check?

First check that notifications are enabled for Florence Go in your phone settings (see above). Also check that the mobile number and email address on your Florence profile are correct.

Can I turn off certain notifications?

You can control push notification permissions through your phone's settings. Within Florence Go, notification preferences are adjustable from the app's settings as well.
