To ensure consistency and transparency, the pay rates for each worker type on Florence are pre-agreed as part of your organisation's service agreement. This means that when you post a shift, the correct rate is applied automatically.
This guide explains how to view your full rate card and the process for requesting changes.
How to View Your Rate Card
You can access a complete overview of your organisation's rates at any time.
From your main dashboard, click the More Options icon (it looks like three vertical dots ⋮) in the top-right corner of the screen.
Select ‘Rates & Wages’ from the dropdown menu.
On this page, you can view and filter all rates for every worker type, including different rates for standard shifts, bank holidays, and last-minute bookings.
How to Request a Change to a Shift Rate
For fairness and contractual clarity, rates for individual shifts cannot be manually edited during the posting process. The process for making a change depends on the situation.
Changing the Rate on a Posted Shift
If the shift is open (not booked): Please contact our Customer Support team via live chat with the shift details and the required rate change. They will assist you in making the adjustment.
If the shift is already booked: For legal and contractual reasons, the rate for a shift that has been accepted by a healthcare professional cannot be changed. The professional has entered into an agreement based on the advertised rate.
Updating Your Organisation's Default Rates
If you need to make permanent changes to your standard rate card (for example, to apply an annual increase), the request should be made by an authorised person from your Head Office.
Please have them contact your Florence Account Manager or our Customer Support team to initiate the rate review process.
Why are rates centrally managed?
This system ensures consistency across all your locations, guarantees transparency for the healthcare professionals booking your shifts, and simplifies invoicing and payments. It creates a fair and reliable system for everyone.
