If something unexpected happens, we understand that it might be unavoidable to have to cancel a shift.

However, cancelling at the last minute (within 24 hours of the shift's start time) can make it very difficult for care professionals to find a shift elsewhere.

That's why we've put the following policies in place for our care professionals and the care organisations we work with:

1. If you cancel three shifts last minute
If you cancel three times less than 24 hours before the shift starts in any 30-day period, Florence reserves the right to put your account on hold.

2. If you turn someone away from a shift
If you don't cancel a shift and the care professional arrives to work, you may need to pay them compensation.

3. If a care professional cancels three shifts last minute
If one of our care professionals cancels less than 24 hours before the shift starts three times within any 30-day period, they will immediately be suspended from using Florence for two weeks.

4. If a care professional doesn’t attend a shift
If one of our care professionals does not attend a shift without cancelling, their account will immediately be suspended for two weeks.
